The Rs were, predictably, one of the busiest clubs on deadline day, with Christopher Samba coming in for a club record fee alongside midfield duo Jermaine Jenas and Andros Townsend, to complement the earlier arrivals of Loic Remy, Yun Suk-young and Tal Ben Haim.
Peter Odemwingie's proposed move from West Brom descended into a tragi-comic farce with the Baggies striker sitting forlornly in his car outside Loftus Road after an embarrassing TV interview as the two clubs failed to agree terms.

The harsh reality for Redknapp is that, despite Tuesday's battling home draw with champions Manchester City, they are bottom of the table and four points from safety with 14 games of the season remaining.
Norwich bolstered their forward line with the signing of Luciano Becchio on deadline day, but missed out on Celtic forward Gary Hooper, with a quartet of bids all rebuffed by the Scottish giants.
Chris Hughton's side are currently on a hideous run of form, with the Canaries' last victory in the Premier League coming against Wigan back on December 15, with five defeats and one draw in their last six top-flight games, plus the added humiliation of a home FA Cup exit at the hands of non-league Luton.

These two sides drew 1-1 earlier in the season, with Simeon Jackson and Bobby Zamora netting in the first half. QPR broke its transfer record for the third time this season in order to sign Christopher Samba (pictured right).
The Rs have won just one league game so far in 2013 - at Stamford Bridge against European champions Chelsea.
Norwich has only won one of its last 14 games away from home in the Premier League.
There are no league ever-presents in either the Norwich or QPR squad this season.
Norwich has now signed four players from Leeds United within the last 18 months, with Bradley Johnson, Robert Snodgrass, Jonny Howson and, most recently, Luciano Becchio, having all made the switch.
