The series was renewed for a third season on March 17, 2011. Jim Rash, who portrays Dean Pelton, has been promoted to a series regular after having a recurring role throughout the first two seasons. Michael K. Williams has been cast as the study group's new biology professor, who is described as a deeply intense character.[8] John Goodman will appear in a multi-episode arc as Vice Dean Laybourne, the head of Greendale's air conditioning repair school, and will be a foe for Dean Pelton. Martin Starr will guest star in the second episode of the season as a political science professor and project advisor when the study group take a Model UN class; with Starr possibly returning later in the season. Larry Cedar will appear in an early episode as Cornelius Hawthorne, the patriarch of the Hawthorne family and Pierce's father. In the same episode, Jerry Minor will return as the Greendale custodian who previously appeared in "English as a Second Language" and "For a Few Paintballs More". Creator Dan Harmon plans on making the third season more cohesive than the previous, with more connectivity between the storylines of the episodes, as well as to make the show more grounded, with somewhat less 'special' episodes. Harmon is also planning out the characters' storylines for the entire season. Upcoming 'special' episode ideas include an episode involving multiple timelines, and the possibility of an anthology-type Halloween episode (a la "Treehouse of Horror"). Explaining the theme of the third season, and Jeff's journey for the season, Harmon says, "Season 3 is about the price that you pay when you figure out that you love a group of people. As the Greendale study group gathers in the library, they wonder whether they will see their old friend Pierce, who left the study group in a huff after last spring's paintball game. Jeff quickly butts heads with their new biology teacher Professor Kane and is kicked out of class - leading to a crisis within the group about whether they will all stay together. Dean Pelton is feeling empowered after a summer at "Dean Camp" but finds a new nemesis in Vice Dean Laybourne, dean of the highly regarded Air Conditioning Repair Annex at Greendale.

New Delhi, Sep 22: Ex-Indian cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi (Jan 1941-Sep 2011) passed away today on Thursday, Sep 22.
Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was shifted to ICU after he was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital following a lung infection.

According to a bulletin released by the hospital, 70-year-old Mansoor Ali Khan was critically ill and was put on high level oxygen support and required intermittent BIPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure).
He was also being observed by a team of critical care specialists and pulmonologists, the bulletin had said.
Pataudi was admitted to the hospital in Aug end and was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease, a medical condition where the oxygen passage to lungs is less than normal.
"He is suffering from a disease which does not have proper or permanent cure. It takes time. The patient in such cases breathes out more of carbon dioxide," a doctor had said earlier about the ex-cricketer.
Sources revealed that Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, Pataudi's son and his actress girlfriend Kareena Kapoor visited Pataudi at the hospital on Sept 22. His score of 75 in 1967-68 against Australia in Melbourne scored on one eye and one leg is considered to be his finest innings.
Pataudi was born in Bhopal on 5 Jan 1941 and famously called Tiger. He played 46 Tests for India scoring 2,793 runs with 203 being his highest score.
Pataudi at the age of 21 became the youngest captain to lead India in Test cricket. Pataudi had a successful career despite losing his right eye in a car accident. He also captained Sussex and Oxford University during his career.
After retiring in 1975 he became a match referee between 1993-1996, but he predominately kept himself away from cricket administration.

A September 2008 court decision granted NBCU's request for an injunction, preventing Lifetime from promoting or exhibiting "Runway" until further notice.
On April 1, 2009, the lawsuit between Weinstein Co. and NBC Universal was settled, with Weinstein agreeing to pay NBC an undisclosed sum for the right to move the show to Lifetime. Season 6 began airing on Lifetime on August 20, 2009. On August 27, 2009, NBC Universal wound up gaining partial ownership of Lifetime, when A&E Television Networks, which was already partially owned by NBC, acquired the channel's parent company, Lifetime Entertainment Services. Archer is an American animated television series created by Adam Reed for the FX network. A preview of the series aired on September 17, 2009. The first season premiered on January 14, 2010. The show carries a TV-MA-LSV rating.
Inspiration behind Archer came to Reed while in a cafe in Salamanca, Spain. Finding himself unable to approach a beautiful woman seated nearby, Reed conjured up the idea of a spy who "would have a perfect line". Reed conceived the show's concept while walking along the Vía de la Plata in 2008. He pitched his idea to the FX Network, which accepted it and ordered six episodes, along with an additional four scripts. The show ended its first season on March 18, 2010, and the second season premiered on January 27, 2011. The season 1 DVD was released in Region 1 on December 28, 2010. On December 17, 2010 the first season of Archer also aired in Germany on Comedy Central Germany.[citation needed] On March 29, 2011 it was announced that FX Network had ordered a 16-episode third season of Archer, with three episodes to air in September 2011 and the remainder in January 2012.Each episode of Archer takes a couple months to produce following the completion of the script. The show is mostly animated by Reed's Floyd County Productions in Atlanta, Georgia, while 3D background models are made by Trinity Animation in Kansas City, Missouri. Originally, Radical Axis housed the show's animation staff for season one, but the crew has sinced moved to their own facilities close to Emory University.
The artistic style of the series was designed to be as realistic as possible, so the character designers used as much reference material as they could.[citation needed] The character drawings are based on Atlanta-area models; they coincidentally resemble some of the voice actors in the series. As Chad Hurd, the lead character designer for the series, noted, the end result resembles "a 1960's comic book come to life." Jersey Shore is an American reality television series which premiered on MTV on December 9, 2009 in the United States. The series follows the lives of eight housemates—Angelina Pivarnick (Seasons 1-2), Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Vinny Guadagnino, and Deena Nicole Cortese (Season 3)— spending their summer on the Jersey Shore.
