Jersey Shore is an American reality television series which premiered on MTV on December 9, 2009 in the United States. The series follows the lives of eight housemates—Angelina Pivarnick (Seasons 1-2), Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Vinny Guadagnino, and Deena Nicole Cortese (Season 3)— spending their summer on the Jersey Shore. Season 2 follows the cast escaping the cold northeast to Miami. Season 3 saw the cast going back to the Jersey Shore for the Summer, with Deena Nicole Cortese replacing Angelina. MTV confirmed that season 4 will see the cast heading to Italy.
The first season had five special episodes, with some airing after select episodes. There have been a number of internet specials exclusively on MTV.com.
Season 4 moved the series to Florence, Italy, where the cast resided in a large renovated town house/apartment in central Florence. The house was located on Via De' Sassetti 6, Florence, Italy, near the famous Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza degli Strozzi. While in Italy, the cast was required to work in a local pizza shop. The cast filmed in Italy during May and June 2011. Season 4 will air in the UK and Australia on Tuesday September 6 at 9pm (UK time)(9.30 AEST).
Episode Summary:
Snooki and Deena are released from the police station after their accident. Later, Snooki's boyfriend Jionni visits, but their romantic reunion comes to an abrupt halt, and a sobbing Snooki ends the night alone on the streets of Florence.
