Online The White Queen Season 1 Episode 10 Episode 10 Review

The White Queen is a riveting portrayal of one of the most dramatic and turbulent times in English history. A story of love and lust, seduction and deception, betrayal and murder, it is uniquely told through the perspective of three different, yet equally relentless women - Elizabeth Woodville, Margaret Beaufort and Anne Neville. In their quest for power, Live Streaming Video Free Online Tv at Home Game online for Live stream Video on your Online TV Broad cast they will scheme, manipulate and seduce their way onto the English throne. The year is 1464, before the Tudor dynasty ruled the country, and war has been ravaging throughout England over who is the rightful King. It is a bitter dispute between two sides of the same family, The House of York and The House of Lancaster. The House of York's young and handsome Edward IV is crowned King of England with the help of the master manipulator, Lord Warwick "The Kingmaker." But when Edward falls in love with a beautiful Lancastrian commoner, Elizabeth Woodville, Warwick's plan to control the throne comes crashing down. A violent, high-stakes struggle ensues between Elizabeth, her most fierce adversary, Lancastrian Margaret Beaufort, and Anne Neville, the pawn in her father's power game - each woman vying for the crown.Max Irons as Edward IV looks more Eton First XI than majestic, and James Frain as Lord Warwick appears to be an evil reincarnation of Gareth Hunt from The New Avengers. This is dark, curly perm acting at its most inscrutable.

Here we have another highly anticipated Sunday night costume drama crashing and burning because the BBC once again stubbornly refuses to spend our hard earned license money on decent scriptwriters. As usual the characters spend the whole time telling each other things they already know. "But he is your five year old son". "But I am this boy's mother." "But Edward, you are the King of England!". "But Sire, she is your twice married sister ." The Beeb still haven't noticed, but people in the real world don't speak like that. There is no sense of reality in this series, no feeling of actually being there. Only an endless, cringe-making string of crass backstory pick-ups, thinly researched historical facts and figures, and the occasional erect nipple to keep us watching.

Scriptwriting for Dummies: Day One: Lesson One: NEVER HAVE YOUR CHARACTERS TELL EACH OTHER THINGS THEY ALREADY KNOW! If you want to see good historical drama writing, I suggest you watch re-runs of I Claudius. The make-up may have been terrible, the sets might have been made out of cardboard, but every script was lovingly crafted by a real, card-carrying author. Not by a dreary, lazy hack writer who would clearly be more at home writing a Wiki page about minor English kings and their mistresses.

Where have all the real writers gone? I'll tell you. They're sitting at home on their own writing novels, because they are sick to the back teeth of having to deal with the new generation of pimply, useless, Excel-driven BBC Drama executives who wouldn't recognise a great script if it jumped out of a jiffy bag on their desk and clamped itself to their face like a newly birthed Alien on the good ship Nostromo.

Online Ray Donovan Season 1 Episode 8 Bridget Review

Ray Donovan, a professional "fixer" for the rich and famous in LA, can make anyone's problems disappear except those created by his own family.Live Streaming Video Free Online Tv at Home Game online for Live stream Video on your Online TV Broad cast
I watched the first episode of Ray Donovan without knowing much about the plot or characters. Liev Schrieber is fantastic in the lead role and is reminiscent of Tony Soprano in that he is a dark, violent lead male under constant stress who is protective and nurturing of those he loves, while at the same time projecting an aura of violence and danger to those who would cross him. One scene, where Ray menaces a man who double-crosses him is particularly chilling. The supporting characters are also very solid. Paula Malcomson, (Ray's wife Abby) under-utilized in Deadwood is here allowed to flex her acting muscles in several scenes with Schreiber. Also in the show is the great Jon Voigt, who plays Ray's father. The conflict between them is set up right away in this first episode and one senses an Oedipal confrontation coming somewhere down the line. Most series start out weak and get better as the show grows and develops. This show, however, started out with a bang. If it gets BETTER it will very soon be the best show on television. I may have had my expectations set a little too high for the pilot episode of Ray Donovan. I was hoping the pilot of RD would be as good as the pilots of other Showtime shows, Homeland/Dexter, but unfortunately it was not. The pilot was confusing, and it was hard to keep interested at times. I only say that because there were so many characters being thrown at you very quickly. I am not saying that this show has too many characters (even though a lot of people on this site seem to think so), I am just saying they should ease into the supporting characters and their story lines. With that being said, I think they have some great characters on the show, with a ton of potential. It helps when you have amazing actors, i.e. Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight.

I am really excited to see what will transpire in the first season of Ray Donovan. With great actors and great writing, I think this could be the next great Showtime show, maybe not the quality of Homeland or Dexter (seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7), but we won't know for sure until at least the end of this season. My hope is that it can become the next Mad Men or Breaking Bad like some critics have been saying.

Online Unforgettable Season 2 Episode 4 Memory Kings Review

Unforgettable stars Poppy Montgomery as Carrie Wells, an enigmatic former police detective with a rare condition that makes her memory so flawless that every place, every conversation, every moment of joy and every heartbreak is forever embedded in her mind.Live Streaming Video Free Online Tv at Home Game online for Live stream Video on your Online TV Broad cast It's not just that she doesn't forget anything - she can't; except for one thing: the details that would help solve her sister's long-ago murder. Carrie has tried to put her past behind her, but she's unexpectedly reunited with her ex-boyfriend and partner, NYPD Detective Al Burns (Dylan Walsh), when she consults on a homicide case. His squad includes Det. Mike Costello (Michael Gaston), Al's right-hand man; Detective Roe Saunders (Kevin Rankin), the junior member of the team; and Detective Nina Inara (Daya Vaidya), a sassy, street-smart cop. Being back on the job after a break feels surprisingly right for Carrie. Despite her conflicted feelings for Al, she decides to permanently join his unit as a detective solving homicides - most notably, the unsolved murder of her sister. All she needs to do is remember.I totally love everything about this show ... the concept is fantastic and actually believable! All of the actors are superb, particularly Poppy Montgomery, Michael Gaston and Dylan Walsh! Also, the skepticism shown by team members Kevin Rankin and Daya Vaidya are absolutely perfect!

In a lot of ways, Carrie is the female version of Patrick Jane from The Mentalist. I love the strength and vulnerability displayed by Carrie and Patrick Jane. Jane's wife and child were murdered by Red John and Patrick feels responsible because he taunted Red John on television. With Carrie, the murder of her big sister, Rachel, when they were children, was a traumatic event that is compounded by the fact that Carrie she can't remember specific details of Rachel's murder and it remains unsolved. It haunts Carrie as an adult because it's the ONLY thing in her entire life that she CAN'T remember! Carrie's childhood experiences with cops and shrinks investigating Rachel's murder, make her a better cop as she is more aware of the trauma being experienced by both victims and witnesses alike.

Good writing, good acting and good time slot are all high praise to CBS! I just hope they will give Unforgettable a fair chance to develop a strong following. Having Poppy Montgomery with her Criminal Minds fan base and Michael Gaston with his Mentalist fan base are an added bonus for the show. Having the show follow solid shows like NCIS and NCIS: LA make Unforgettable's ratings almost a guarantee.I am a fan of The Listener so another show with similarities is fine by me, I am not sure what the other reviewers were watching but it could not have been the same show as I watched. The one I watched was quite good and I really liked Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh. I can not recall any other shows that Poppy Montgomery has been in but I liked Dylan Walsh in one of my favourite movies, The Lake House.

Poppy Montgomery plays a former Siracusa police detective named Carrie Wells, who suffers from hyperthymesia, a rare medical condition that gives her the ability to remember everything she sees and hears, only a very small number of people in the world have been documented as suffering from it. Her neighbour is murdered and as part of the investigation, her former boyfriend and one-time partner discovers she is a witness and asks her to join his homicide unit to help solve the case.

By day she is a volunteer at a aged care facility and by night she plays blackjack to support herself.

During the show with repeated flashbacks we start to discover that her sister was murdered and that she is still trying to find out who murdered her.

I thought the pilot was quite good and not being from the USA I did not care that the accents were not genuine as some of the other reviewers have complained about.

I recommend it to anyone wanting to watch another police show with a few special abilities thrown in.

Online Devious Maids Season 1 Episode 9 Scrambling the Eggs Review

Devious Maids" follows four maids with ambition and dreams of their own who work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills.Live Streaming Video Free Online Tv at Home Game online for Live stream Video on your Online TV Broad cast I am completely hooked on this series. It is well worth a watch. Starts off strong and keeps getting stronger. The drama gets more intense and much more interesting, and while it does, a mystery is being solved. I do think that the controversy surrounding this show is a bit ignorant. People think, "Oh, why do all the maids have to be Latina?" like as if it's really trying to exaggerate the fact that "all maids are Latinas" or vice versa, or the fact that all Latina women can only land stereotypical roles like being a maid. Have we not grown from thinking this way? Can we not just enjoy the fact that they have a show, with an all Latina cast, that is very enjoyable to watch? I think we have all risen from the ignorant, one-sided thinking of "all Latinas are maids"...or at least most us should have. This is a fun show to watch and follow. It shows that Latina women, even with being a maid, can be devious, have another side to them, have excitement in their life. They are not your Latina "stereotypical" maids. This show breaks the ties from your "stereotypical" Latina maid, it helps you realize that there are all different types of Latina women, and different types of maids. I'm pretty sure people don't think of all French maids as White, blonde women with short uniforms that always carry a feather duster around, so why not help break away the "stereotypical" Latina maids thought process by having a show that does just that. These characters have great minds and it's great to see a show with more than just only white people as the main cast (no offense). It's a nice, new change of pace. Why can't we all be happy that Latinas are getting more recognition, they are ruling a whole TV series in a "White-dominate" Hollywood. Yes, there are many multi-cultural actors and actresses in Hollywood, but have you seen a show where the main cast are all one culture that is not "White", or a movie? People have also commented "why can't they be lawyers or doctors, why do they have to be maids"? So only doctors and lawyers can be devious, be intelligent and have interesting lives? Are maids not allowed to have these personalities and traits too? Are maids only supposed to clean and that's all there is to them? This show is breaking boundaries. It shows Latinas have all different types of struggles and problems, not just the "cross the border, get a job, find a home and hope you don't get deported" struggle that every other show depicts. Why do we always have to find some type of controversy involving everything? All of these actresses have been successful in various roles that aren't maids, so how is this showing that Latina actresses can only land stereotypical roles? Watch this show with interest, not skepticism on whether or not this show is "racist". I highly enjoy it and hopefully, you will too. I will be following this show to the end, because I love the show, the script, and the plot, whether or not the cast is all White or all Latina.

Online The Newsroom Season 2 Episode 6 One Step Too Many Review

The Newsroom", a behind-the-scenes look at the people who make a nightly cable-news program. Focusing on a network anchor (played by Jeff Daniels), his new executive producer (Emily Mortimer),Live Streaming Video Free Online Tv at Home Game online for Live stream Video on your Online TV Broad cast the newsroom staff (John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Olivia Munn, Dev Patel) and their boss (Sam Waterston), the series tracks their quixotic mission to do the news well in the face of corporate and commercial obstacles-not to mention their own personal entanglements.shows, Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom takes a hard (and witty) look at the behind the scenes of cable news. And like all his other shows, The Newsroom deals as much with themes of honour, ethics, loyalty, idealism and love, as it does with the news. It's also written in Sorkinese – Aaron Sorkin's fast-paced, back-and-forth, sing-song dialogue that'll leave you heady on a good day but with a headache on a bad one.

So, like critics have lambasted, is it "weighted too heavily toward sermonizing diatribes (LA Times)?" Maybe. Does it "choke on its own sanctimony (NY Times)?" Perhaps. Is it "yet another platform in which to Set the People Straight is a worthwhile purpose (Huffington Post)?" Most definitely yes. But is this all really so horribly, terribly bad? NO!

The main bone of contention for critics for this show seems to be that it tries too hard to be good, do good and instill good, just like all of Sorkin's earlier work. But when did that become a crime, in times of shows about becoming the next scrawniest supermodel, douchiest reality housemate or Tim Allen's 30th comeback? What's wrong with a show fantasizing about a world upheld by a long-forgotten morality in a time infested with shows that fall over each other to portray stark, grim realities and apocalyptic futures?

The Newsroom's got a fantastic cast with enough charm to last you till the next Woody Allen movie. Emily Mortimer's already got me falling in love with her, Jeff Daniel makes you really root for him, John Gallagher Jr and Alison Pill have an instant chemistry and Sam Waterson's singularly enough to bring you back every week. Yes, it's longer than it needed to be, and yes, it could have done with a little more Noam Chomsky and a little less Don Quixote. But really, as long as it does what so few show can ever claim to together – rouse you, make you think and ENTERTAIN, bloody well at that – who's complaining?

Admittedly, I'm a fan of Aaron Sorkin. I've seen (repeatedly) and LOVED Sports Night and The West Wing, and I think Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is one of the best shows ever made. His writing has inspired me in the past, and after watching The Newsroom, I have all reasons to believe that it will continue to, well into the future.

I am pleading with my dad to remove BRAVO from the house because these housewives should not be aloud in the house they are not worth any sane persons time.Dina, is divorced & remarried to Caroline's brother-in-law. Teresa has three daughters and is married to a man who runs a construction company in NJ. The other wife is a divorced woman and mother of two girls who is seeking a man to take care of her, her daughters, and her lavish lifestyle.

I feel like the producers are aiming to maintain the Soprano stereotype about New Jersey. OKay, the first season is done & over with. I have to say that I'm relieved but it's painful to watch the reunion special. Only 4 are friends.

Danielle has been ostracized & vilified by Dina & Caroline Manzo for whatever reasons. Anyway, I hope the producers have some liability in creating this hostile environment for one of the women.

If I was Danielle who surprised everybody by being the breakout star of the show but she is vilified by the other women who can't stand to be in the same room with her. I have to say that they are not a bunch of roses. Caroline might call Danielle trash to her face but she's not much better being the interfering nuisance and control freak and the bully of the group. Her sister Dina is often the target of Danielle's attacks with good reason.

Dina paraded a book around the salon exposing Danielle's past life over 20 years ago as truth and tries to lie about it. Big sister bully Caroline covers up for her at a dinner party that Danielle and her daughters had to be there anyway.

The dinner party is now legendary with a table toss and almost Teresa ready to attack Danielle for ruining her party. What did Danielle do, she brought out the book that the other women including Caroline, Teresa, and Dina have already read and believed to be true.

Online Keeping Up with the Kardashians Kardashians Season 8, Episode 12 Kris's Mother-In-Law Review

Here you have another twenty something ungrateful Hollywood raised female woman-child, in another typically ungrateful for celebrity-family with parents who are so self absorbed and ungrateful towards themselves, that you wonder how they can have time left to be ungrateful towards the children under their roof/in their lives. But oh, they find time.Live Streaming Video Free Online Tv at Home Game online for Live stream Video on your Online TV Broad cast

So what keeps you watching? The 15 minute 'clinique' beauty of the twenty something self described "socialite"? The little "naughty-bits" they sneak in of T&A just under the radar of standards and practices? The self-absorption of the parents? The back-talk and snotty attitudes the children are allowed to give to these parents? The unruliness of a blended family? Or just the idea of taking a peek into the life of "folks with celebrity" and then taking a look at your own life and realizing that mom and dad ....maybe aren't SO bad.

The beauty of freedom is that there will always be something for everyone. And in that freedom, you can take a look and decide if it's good or bad. For me, this show is bad, meaningless. This is not to say that all TV must be 20 hours of "Leave it to Beaver" or the "Brady Bunch". That's unrealistic. We've got to be exposed to real family dysfunction to see that that the world isn't always sugary sweet and pristine perfect. Not parents, not kids, not even our pets.

But programs like this are getting to be a standard. There isn't anything warm or exciting about viewing the life of a young woman who's already hit her peak - mentally, educationally, sexually - and is heading downward fast. Or her mother who IS allowing it - even if it is only due to her own self-absorption. And a father who couldn't care less because he ISN'T her father particularly, just another man in a long line of men that the mother has luckily hooked her claws into. And the household siblings - the siblings to whom you have a bet going that they will either run out of the home screaming for real love, acceptance, stability, boundaries - or end up just like their older sibling on a YouTube edited soft porn segment or even worse - a real one. This show can be so formulaic and stereotypical that it must be scripted--or improvised based on an outline the way "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is. But while "Curb" ends up being painfully funny, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" just ends up being painful.

I obviously have too much time on my hands because I have probably seen three or four episodes of this show. Having grown up in Worcester, Massachusetts, I suppose that I was intrigued by the idea of a show about an Armenian–American family—not that the Kardashians much resemble any Armenian-American family I have ever known (other than that they are often big).

My hope is that the show is scripted, because, otherwise, these people are evidently incredibly shallow, and they all seem to suffer from an attention deficit. In one episode, "Learning Self Defense," a vandal comes to their shop, knocks merchandise about, and frightens the salesgirl. The Kardashian girls first decide to take a self-defense class for about 10 minutes, which leaves them brimming with overconfidence until step-dad and former Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner shows them that he can easily defeat them with very little effort. Rather than dedicate themselves to further lessons, the girls abandon this scheme, much the way that Wile E. Coyote, in the old Warner Brothers cartoons always tries a completely new scheme when the last one fails to provide instant gratification. Kris, the mom, then suggests that they go to a shooting range and learn to use pistols; however, after ten minutes the girls give up on this as well.

Not to be outdone in the stupidity department, the girls' brother and one's boyfriend come up with a hair-brained plan to disguise themselves as armed robbers in ski masks and stage a fake robbery in order to scare the girls into hiring a professional security service. It never occurs to them to try verbal persuasion or that it might be kindly of them to hire an hour of a security consultant's time and have him talk to Kim at no cost to her. Good thing the girls hadn't decided to acquire guns or they might have filled these two pranksters with lead. On the other hand, that might have been good for ratings.

Basing his life on the teachings of his foster father, Dexter only kills people who truly deserve it: he ensures that those who got away with horrible crimes will never kill again. The Excorcism Of Emily Rose" star Jennifer Carpenter, who plays Dexter's sometimes moody sister, Deb.

It's a hard accomplishment to get someone to actually love a serial killer. But Dexter is one of those few attempts that works. It's not forced upon you- the show doesn't shove the whole "well this serial killer had a terrible childhood..." in your face. And it doesn't need to in order to get you to love its main character. You just do.

Michael C. Hall can play any emotion he's handed. Jennifer Carpenter fits her character perfectly, as does everyone else in the cast.

Then there's the actual story lines. It's not cliché. It's actually scary and chilling. It keeps you guessing. It's one of those mysteries that is very difficult to solve, but it still keeps your interest.

'Dexter' can also be hilarious when it wants to be, depressing when it wants to be and especially thrilling when it wants to be. And it doesn't come across as trying too hard.

Between Dexter and Weeds, Showtime has a corner on the original new shows market. Not only are both of these shows completely original and innovative, but they are REALLY good.

Dexter, in particular, should not be reviewed by anyone who hasn't seen more than three episodes. I almost feel as if the first episode in the series is a tad-bit melodramatic (note Dexter screaming in the face of his first victim) just to pull in viewers that otherwise need something more visceral than a great screenplay.

By two more episodes the viewer should be absolutely intoxicated by the complexity of the character Dexter and the acting of Michael C. Hall. His own co-stars admit to being almost "scared" by how well Hall absorbs his character. Personally, I think that without Hall's mastery of Dexter there would be nothing to watch. Don't get me wrong, the plot of this show is extremely intriguing (and original, to be redundant), but the excitement lies purely in the way Dexter/Hall responds to A) his girlfriend, B) blood, and C) other serial killers.

I think that it is very reasonable to chuckle at Dexter's attempts to "fit in" social situations and I believe the writers of this show planned on it. What I am still stuck on, however, is whether or not to cheer Dexter on in his methodology (serial killing serial killers). This had better be the first of many seasons, so spread the word. I'm ready to proclaim this the best show currently on TV, one that may someday rank with the likes of _The Sopranos_ and the first season of _Twin Peaks_ as a contender for the second best TV show ever (after the incomparable _Buffy the Vampire Slayer_; one of the show's producers and writers is former Buffy writer Drew Z. Greenberg, and the cast includes Buffy / Angel mainstay Julie Benz).

Dexter is a sociopath, someone with no human feelings and hence no natural, inner moral compass, and he has an unquenchable blood lust that drives him to kill. But he had the great grace to have been the adopted child of a police officer, who (as we see in terrific flashbacks) successfully instilled in him a complete moral code, which he adheres to on a strictly intellectual level. This is an utterly brilliant concept (which I assume derives from the novels it's based on), one that allows the writers to explore the nature of moral behavior and of what it means to be human (Dexter is, in a sense, an alien).

Another thing the show is doing brilliantly is moving at different speeds in parallel. There is a primary apparent season-long story arc (concerning a cat-and-mouse game between Dexter and a serial killer), and a a secondary arc involving Dexter's sister's police career. The first handful of episodes include a very powerful completed arc concerning one of Dexter's police colleagues and a local crime lord, while two of the four episodes so far have also included a self-contained story spliced among (and playing off) the ongoing ones. I've seen the future of TV season structuring, and this is it.

Online Breaking Bad Season 5 Episode 10 Buried Review

who becomes a drug dealer after he discovers that he has lung cancer. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to gain financial security for his family, Walter White joins forces with an old student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), in a quest that follows their entry into a dangerous world of drugs and crime.
Live Streaming Video Free Online Tv at Home Game online for Live stream Video on your Online TV Broad cast For those that would be content to label this show a Weeds knock-off, bear in mind that Breaking Bad is a new kind of monster. It touches on the very same themes, "living realistically as a middle class in the United States" which often makes us resort to extremes to survive. Like the mother and daughter team that robbed that bank. But the weed selling antics of Showtime's hit show is really nothing like "Bad." The Pilot was about as perfect a Pilot as I've ever seen, and much of it rests on Bryan Cranston's shoulders.

Cranston plays Cheimstry teacher Walter White. He has a loving wife, a child with Cerebal Palsy and another is on the way. He also happens to be dying from an inoperable lung cancer situation, which happened although he "never smoked." His finances in disarray, the once great student of science turns to crime to solve his problems.

He cooks Crystal Meth with a good for nothing ex-student. From the antics of the first episode, the show is leading towards a dark place, but a place of truth. This is a no nonsense black comedy. Now he essays the role of another father in the new series BREAKING BAD, but it's a shocking, bracingly refreshing turn that takes his 'Three Stooges' repertoire of grunts, shrieks, barks and neurotic ticks and virtually throws them out the window. Some of those qualities are still there, but unlike MALCOLM, BREAKING is the blackest of black comedies. When I first heard about it, the reviews I read compared it heavily (and favorably) to the Coen Brothers' dark crime comedy FARGO. And the comparisons are aptly warranted.

This is one of those series where the less you know about it going in, the better, but just to set your mind reeling with the possibilities, here it is in a nutshell: Cranston plays high school chemistry teacher Walter White, who is constantly battling the lackadaisical attitudes of his disinterested students, the looming specter of financial disaster - by supplementing his paltry teacher's salary with a second job at a local car wash, and trying to cope with the impending arrival of a new baby, even as he and his wife raise their disabled teenage son, whom unlike many stereotypical portrayals of handicapped kids is no Pollyanna-like angel.

Then in the midst of all this, Walter makes a shocking discovery: he has inoperable lung cancer, and therefore only a few years left to live at best. Facing the very real possibility of leaving his family struggling not only with his death, but a financial situation that could only end in catastrophe, Walter suddenly has a revelation, thanks to an idea handed to him by his boorish brother-in-law, who works with the DEA - he decides to become a crystal meth dealer.

Okay, so while you're letting your brain take that all in, you also need to know that this is one of those defining roles where you just know that the lead actor will get Emmy recognition, whether he intended to or not. That is just how good Cranston is as Walter. In fact, he's every bit as good as Michael C. Hall's Dexter Morgan, James Gandolfini's Tony Soprano or Harold Perrineau's criminally under-appreciated Augustus Hill. And he's backed by an amazing supporting cast of mostly new or unfamiliar faces (with the exception of Dean Norris as the brother-in-law).

You can tell from the word 'go' that writer/producer/director Vince Gilligan (former head writer/exec producer on THE X FILES) has been champing at the bit for a while to let fly with a project like this. And if the first episode is any indication, AMC has another real winner on its hands. So MAD MEN will need to move over and make some room...since BREAKING BAD isn't the kind of series to "ask nicely."

Which brings up another important point: this is not a series for everyone, the way that FARGO and Showtime's kindred-spirit drug dramedy WEEDS are not mainstream, either. This is sharp, biting, satirical social commentary that draws blood when it sinks its teeth in, and you are guaranteed to wince even as you laugh out loud at Cranston's dead-on portrayal of a MAN on the edge of a nervous breakdown (well, more like over the edge.)

Online True Blood Season 6 Episode 10 Radioactive Review

However you want to describe it, TRUE BLOOD is not only unlike any vampire story that's been done before, it's not like any series that's on right now. It's DARK SHADOWS-meets deep-fried Southern Gothic, and only Alan Ball, the creator of SIX FEET UNDER, would dare stick his neck out to bring it to you.Live Streaming Video Free Online Tv at Home Game online for Live stream Video on your Online TV Broad cast

Based on the novels of Charlaine Harris, which I've never read, (but certainly will after this!), BLOOD takes place in the not-too-distant future. It's been two years since the world got a shock it never expected: vampires came "out of the coffin" as a race. We suspected they always lived - and fed - amongst us, but now it's official, and just as before with race relations and as it is now with GLBT people, the reaction across the board is the same - fear of change and fear of the unknown influences most people's feelings about it. And it doesn't seem to matter much that vamps now opt for finding nourishment from a bottled beverage made of synthetic plasma called - wait for it - "TRU BLOOD", rather than from the warm, breathing, two-legged receptacles called Everybody Else.

Sookie Stackhouse, however, has her own unique take on the whole deal. Sookie (X-MEN'S Anna Paquin) lives and works as a waitress in Bon Temps, LA, at a roadhouse restaurant called Merlotte's, the center of most of the series' action. She serves up pitchers of beer and sweet tea, and will give you a piece of her mind, once she has a piece of yours...though you'll wonder how she knew what you were thinking. Sookie is a telepath, and unfortunately for her, she can't turn off the constant flow of other peoples' streams of consciousness...most of which offers way too much information.

The only minds she can't read are vampire minds, something she discovers when she encounters Bon Temps' first vamp, the courtly and smoldering Bill Compton (Brit actor Stephen Moyer in a bravura performance). They are taken with each other on first sight - Sookie, who is not afraid of the unusual since she herself fits that category all too well, and Bill because he cannot figure her out - is she mortal, or something Looking on this blossoming romance in various stages of curiosity, disgust or outright disapproval are Sookie's brother, Jason (Ryan Kwanten), a walking hormone on two legs whose IQ matches his boot size; headstrong, opinionated Tara (Rutina Wesley), Sookie's childhood BFF; Sam Merlotte himself (Sam Trammell), Sookie's boss, who's got it bad for her and wears his heart on his sleeve on and off the clock; Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis), the boldly out, proud and randy cook who serves as Greek chorus, instigator and confidante to Merlotte's employees, but most especially to Sookie, and her 'Gran', Adele Stackhouse (the marvelous Lois Smith), who couldn't be happier that Sookie is romantically involved with somebody...even if he is undead.

Not a single opportunity is wasted here to explore every nuance of mixing the ordinary with the extraordinary, in a way that even a series as outstanding as BUFFY could only get close to. Passion burns, secrets abound, betrayal, murder and things even worse lurk around every corner. It's what you've hoped for but never gotten from every soap opera that couldn't show you what was REALLY going on...until now.

Best of all, TRUE BLOOD is like the best songs that come from Mississippi Delta blues. It has an irresistible melody and a driving beat that pulses with sex, muscular sensuality and undeniable heat, with an undertone of menace lurking just beneath, ready to explode without warning...and sometimes even without provocation.

As with 6FU, Ball and his crew are firing on all cylinders here in the first two episodes I've seen. I sure hope they can keep it going...With the early renewal for a second season, HBO sure seems to agree, and so do the fans. Especially this one.

MATCH PREVIEW

Before previewing the game, allow me to get something off my chest. "Hull City Tigers" ??? Please, Mr Allam - have a word with yourself. In a season when Hull need everyone pulling together, the last thing that's needed is upsetting supporters by meddling with 109 years of history.

And so to business.
LAWRO'S PREDICTION
Image of Mark Lawrenson Mark Lawrenson Football analyst

"Jose Mourinho returning to Stamford Bridge is an undoubtedly big lift for Chelsea. You cannot question his record as a manager and he is an outstanding coach. Going back to the scene of your former glories does not always work out, though."

Read Lawro's full prediction and score

A special day as Stamford Bridge welcomes the 'Special One' home. A month short of six years after leaving, Jose Mourinho is back in the home dugout of the club that he's loved (and been loved by) the most.

In pre-season it's been almost as though he never left. Whilst we all get used to seeing Messrs Moyes and Pellegrini sport their new crests, Mourinho just looks right. The reception that greets his arrival on the touchline will be one of the must-see moments of the weekend.

He's inherited a frighteningly strong squad and could have the luxury of making five or six changes without weakening the team for Wednesday's re-arranged visit of Aston Villa.

New signings Schurrle and van Ginkel and returning loan stars Lukaku and De Bruyne only increase the attacking threat of a team that scored a club record 147 goals last season. Torres, Ba, Lampard, Mata, Moses - maybe Rooney to come? Breaking 147 may be possible after all.

For Hull it's an exciting start to their second top-flight adventure, but not a game Steve Bruce will be just glad to get out of the way. After all, he led Sunderland to a 3-0 win the last time he visited the Bridge as a boss.

Without necessarily 'parking the bus', it'll be a side that doesn't take too many risks in game one - with the top level nous of Tom Huddlestone in front of the defence an important addition this week.

They didn't score too many goals in the Championship last season but were tight defensively - often playing three at the back with wing backs. It's a system that didn't work in the Premier League for Manchester City last season. Could it for Hull? That's Hull - CITY.

Twente vs Utrecht Netherlands - Eredivisie Match 18 -August 2013

Twente vs Utrecht Netherlands - Eredivisie Match 18 -August 2013, after my constant moaning about Utrecht playing good football, but not having the players up front to finish off the chances, they click. At home to NAC, they scored two goals, but NAC managed to get back on both occasions, giving them just a point to show for their efforts. At Ajax though, a completely different story; 1-4. Awesome result for Utrecht against their big rivals! With Adil Ramzi getting a hattrick in that match, he showed his worth to this side after signing for the Domstad club! I expected him to make a good impact, but this surpassed my expectations.Watch Twente vs Utrecht Live, Watch Twente vs Utrecht Live Stream, Watch Twente vs Utrecht Free Live Stream, Watch Twente vs Utrecht Online, Watch Twente vs Utrecht Online Free, Twente vs Utrecht Live, Twente vs Utrecht live stream Online.

Leaving my expectations of Ramzi aside, I think Utrecht are a must bet in their Sunday fixture with managerless Twente. The clear uptrend that Utrecht are in should not be ignored, and the current odds on offer shouldn’t be either! Utrecht are on a seven match unbeaten run, and their lack of goals seemed to have been cured recently. Again, I stress, the problem with Utrecht was not scoring goals. Now they are doing just that, and against Twente, they have a very good chance of picking up their second win on the trot.

Twente are in turmoil, if you don’t mind me saying. They had to deal with quite a blow in losing top defender Majstorovic, a player whom I rate very highly. He’s left and I can’t see who they’ll be using to replace him in this match. The tall man has been a rock to build the defence around. Apart from that, their manager has also left!

Managerless and without their best defender? I will take that offer on Utrecht in good form without hesitation! High stakes on the Utrecht away win.

NAC Breda vs ADO Den Haag Netherlands - Eredivisie Match 18 -August 2013

NAC Breda vs ADO Den Haag Netherlands - Eredivisie Match 18 -August 2013.Adrie Bogers’ side would be keen to bag all three points in their upcoming encounter against Maurice Steijn’s men, who have yet to suffer a defeat on the road. NAC Breda The Yellow Army are heading into the game on the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of PEC Zwolle in their last league encounter on November 17. PEC staged a dominant show throughout the 90 minutes, and second-half goals from Ronnie Reniers and Denni Avdic secured a deserving victory for the hosts. Occupying the 15th spot on the league table, the Rats have thus far put in below par performances both at home and on the road. They have only won two from their six games at home, while they have bagged all three points once from their seven matches on the road. They have an overall record of 13 played, 3 won, 2 drawn and 8 lost. Adrie Bogers, the NAC head coach, has expressed optimism that his side will start securing good results in the coming weeks. ADO Den Haag The Hague outfit were completely ripped apart by PSV Eindhoven in their last Eredivisie encounter, as the Eindhoven giants secured a resounding 1-6 win at Kyocera Stadion on November 17. A goal each from Luciano Narsingh, Kevin Strootman, Dries Mertens and Georginio Wijnaldum gifted PSV a comfortable 4-0 lead, before Charlton Vicento pulled one back for the home side in the 62nd minute. However, Timothy Derijck and Orlando Engelaar both added two more goals before the full time whistle to claim an impressive away win. ADO have thus far staged erratic showings this term. Sitting at the 10th spot in the league standings, they have an overall record of 13 played, 3 won, 7 drawn and 3 lost. Maurice Steijn, the ADO boss, would be hoping that his side put behind their poor showings, and start securing good results to keep their hops of finishing in the top half table alive. Head-to-Head statistics NAC have claimed wins in three of their last five encounters against the Hague outfit, while ADO bagged all three points in the remaining two games.

Crystal Palace's Jerome Thomas will have to wait for his debut as he has not yet recovered from an ankle injury.

Paddy McCarthy is back in training but is not yet fit, while Glenn Murray and Yannick Bolasie are also out.
MATCH PREVIEW

In many respects it's been a good summer for Tottenham, with Andre Villas-Boas turning down the chance to head for Paris Saint-Germain and the signing of some real quality in the transfer market as they look to break into the top four, but it's all overshadowed at the moment by someone who won't even be at Selhurst Park for this one: Gareth Bale.

The saga of whether or not he'll go to Real Madrid has towered over everything else for Spurs and it's no surprise they are reluctant to sell. He's a difference maker even in a good team, as we all know.
LAWRO'S PREDICTION
Image of Mark Lawrenson Mark Lawrenson Football analyst

"In lots of ways, Crystal Palace under Ian Holloway in the Premier League remind me of Blackpool under Holloway in the Premier League - they are going to look to get lots of players forward and look to score lots of goals. They will probably concede lots too, but it is going to be fun to watch them!"

Read Lawro's full prediction and score

As a neutral observer, it'll be a shame not to see him out there against newly-promoted Crystal Palace, but I'm sure he won't be missed too much by the home crowd as they hope for a positive start to the new season.

Spurs have spent some big money this summer with the probability of further activity before the window closes. Chairman Daniel Levy has broken the club's transfer record twice, with midfielder Paulinho coming in from Corinthians for £17m and then striker Roberto Soldado arriving from Valencia for £26m.

It's Crystal Palace's lot to be mentioned by all and sundry as relegation candidates following their latest elevation to the big time via the play-off final at Wembley.

It's true that each of their four previous campaigns in the Premier League have ended with a fall through the trap door, but it's also true that Ian Holloway's team will relish the chance to have a go against the best at Selhurst Park and maybe cause an upset or two on the road.

They'll miss the talent of Wilfried Zaha, now with Manchester United, and the goals of Glenn Murray, who is recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury, but Holloway has strengthened where he can and will continue in that vein right up until the window closes. Striker Dwight Gayle is the club's record signing from Peterborough for an initial £4.5m and was at Bishops Stortford just over a year ago.

He scored 13 goals in 29 appearances for Peterborough last season and could prove to be an astute signing. Marouane Chamakh will be glad to emerge from the wilderness at Arsenal and another player to keep an eye on is Jose Campana, the captain of Spain's Under-20 side. The deep-lying midfielder has twice won the European title at Under-19 level with his country.
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

Palace have scored in all but one of their previous eight Premier League fixtures against Tottenham. In fact, they have scored more goals (10) against Spurs than against any other side in the division.
The Eagles have lost only one of their last six Premier League games against Spurs.
Both teams finished last season on 72 points and finished fifth in their respective leagues. Spurs finished fifth in the Premier League after 38 matches, while Palace were fifth in the Championship following their 46 games.
In eight previous Premier League encounters, both teams have identical records having won two apiece with the other four matches ending in draws.

Crystal Palace

The Eagles won 16 penalties, more than any other side, in the Championship last season, including the one in the play-off final that took them to the Premier League.
The last time Palace opened up a Premier League season with a home match at Selhurst Park, they lost 6-1 to Liverpool in 1994-95.
Both Palace and their opposition have scored in all four of the Eagles' opening-day fixtures in the Premier League.

Tottenham

This will be the 16th time Tottenham have played away from home in their opening Premier League game, a competition-record. They have only managed to win two of their last 12 opening-day fixtures (W2, D4, L6).
Tottenham scored 16 goals from outside the box in the top-flight last season, the most in the top flight. Gareth Bale was responsible for nine of them.
Their total of 72 points last season was the highest ever Premier League total recorded by a team finishing outside the top four. In the 2010-11 season that would have been enough for Spurs to finish second.
Tottenham and Swansea were the only clubs not to be awarded a single penalty kick last season - the first time this has happened since Charlton Athletic in 2004-05.
