Shankar, who happily announced recently that his Nanban has completed 98.8888% shoot, might have not thought that the remaining 1.1112% would become a nightmare for the film unit. The filmmaker, who decided to have an item song for the forthcoming Tamil movie, is going through a tough time, as Ileana D'Cruz has injured her leg during the song rehearsal.

Sources say that Ileana D'Cruz injured her ankle while practising some intricate steps for the item number. The actress, who had some issues on the same ankle, slipped and hurt her leg. It was choreographed by Farah Khan. The actress is still recovering from the blow, confirms a source.
Shankar's woes does not end here because Farah Khan has lost her voice after shouting out instructions at the troupe. The filming of the song has been postponed and it requires six days to finish the number.
The music album of Vijay, Ileana D'Cruz, Jeeva and Srikanth starrer Nanban is expected to launch in September last week.

The role that Nandu has played is in very much his domain. So he does it with convincing manner. Nandu delivers it with full marks. Ramesh, Dhanraj were entertaining. SriLekha in a small role is okay. New Comer Divya is so natural that she pulls off the character with ease, but her characterization looks inspired from Amala Paul’s role in Prema Khaidi. Prakash Bradwaj was one of the biggest blunder for the movie his mannerisms and dialogue delivery were just irritating. Krishnudu, Darmavarapu Subramanyam, Krishna Bhagwan were wasted.
Having been shot in a village, the movie doesn’t show off any wowing scenes, but the green carpet and rural beauty was captured affably. Cinematography is appealing, while Chinni charan’s background just gave life to the whole film. I must say, music is the only asset of Nenu Nanna Abaddam. Story of the film has a different point in it. It requires very tight screenplay and smooth handling of emotions to narrate such a delicate story. Narration of the film is pretty slow and screenplay is not good. Direction of the film is OK in parts. Even director tries to Copy scenes (sorry) inspired a lot from Premisthe and Prema Khaidi. Even kept two to three scenes similar to Prema Khaidi. The Pre Climax Episode recalls us of Premisthe climax but luckily director ended it differently. The dialogues were good in parts. Few scenes could have been easily trimmed off to increase the speed of the proceedings towards the end.

Debutant Ramtej looks decent enough but his attempt on emotional scenes towards climax of the movie is not justifying. His moves in Jhalak song prove his body flexibility and dancing abilities. A little grooming would ensure a bright future for this promising actor. Well, picking right scripts too has its own share in showering success on him. Anupoorva is not a heroine material, though looks good. Her performance is average. Having a substantial role as an actress she does not register an impact. Suman shetty and friends were good in providing entertainment. Other artists in the film were not designated properly.
Background score passable and editing is intermediate. It could have been better if focused. Screenplay is of no great shakes and remains fair. The subject line is a definitely a downer. Ravi Sharma fails to deliver a decent story to the audience which becomes a major drawback for the film. Music composed by S A Rajkumar is decent enough and will surely appeal to the masses. S A Rajkumar has tried to elevate few scenes with the help of Re-Recording to make it more attractive. Production values were good.
There are very few things that would manage to hold your interest in the film, and by the time it draws to a close, the slight impression that it had made right at the beginning would have given way to disappointment.

Director Venkat Prabhu has done an mean job in weaving an anecdote related to cricket betting and bookies. Gambler movie is a complete action thriller and I must say that Venkat Prabhu did not do justice to make it a gripping story. The screenplay was faltering and it started to confound the audience several points. The storytelling was more centering around the ballyhoo of Ajith, his looks and action, and not the script. Venkat Prabhu has managed to bask on Ajith's following and showcased Ajith in a unique way – Grey-haired Ajith rather.
Kudos to Ajith – He selected a superb character that has ample scope for performance and improvisation and he once again proves that he's right up there when it comes to box office collections . He is at his very best in the masala looks and his body language is pretty typical. We have to say that Ajith has shouldered the entire movie, which is in fact, an out-and-out Ajith film.

New Delhi, Sep 9 : They say life is the best teacher and it seems Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham believes in this. The actor is not sulking about his break up with Bipasha Basu and says he has matured over the years as he has learnt to accept the realities of life with a smile.
"I have matured enough in life. It's not necessarily with a woman, but every relationship in life matures you as an individual. So, I am sitting here before you guys as a much more mature individual," said John who split with Bipasha Basu earlier this year after an eight-year relationship.

"Earlier, may be three years ago, I would get upset about personal questions asked to me. Today, I am sitting, smiling, answering everything because it's a fact of life," said John. The 38-year-old says he is not sulking and utilising the time to spend some quality time with his parents.
"I am just happy that I have time by myself. Honestly, once I became an actor in 2003, I did not spend enough time with my parents. I will be very honest, when we get into relationships and into our career, we forget that we have parents. We don't give them time," he said.
"I am spending as much time as possible with my parents because they are not doing very well physically. So, I am trying to spend as much time to just make out for all the lost time," he added.
The actor is preparing for the release of his next -- "Force", which hits the screens Sep 30. He will also feature in "Desi Boyz", "Housefull 2" and "Shootout at Wadala"(IANS)

Mumbai, Sep 10 : It felt good to pack the ego and simply be a band member, says music maestro A. R. Rahman who has once again put Indian culture in the spotlight by adding two songs to the latest album of international group SuperHeavy.
"SuperHeavy does have strong Indian influences. There is a Sanskrit number called 'Satyameva jayate' and a romantic number called 'Mahiya'," Rahman told IANS in an e-mail interview from Los Angeles.

SuperHeavy has been in existence since 2009, but its presence was announced by Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger only in May 2011. The other band members -- English singer-songwriter Joss Stone, English musician Dave Stewart and Jamaican reggae artist Damian Marley -- have churned out a 16-song album.
But since all the artists belong to different cultures, isn't it difficult to come to a common point?
"It's different when you're probably heading or doing something independently - like Mick does his own thing. Stones and Dave - they are independent producers, and I do my own music. But here as a band you sometimes take a back seat and enjoy the process, pack all your ego and just be like one family. It strangely felt good doing that," said Rahman.
"You could see in the music that nobody is overpowering."
The album will be released at the end of September.
"Dave said, 'AR, we want your voice in this album and we want it to be a great Indian song too.' A long dream for me was to take one of the morals of Indian culture, which is 'Satyameva jayate', and make it a song. I said this will be historic if Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Damien Marley, Dave Stewart and me come together for a song like this; it is iconic in a way.
"We started doing the song and I didn't have any lyrics other than 'Satyameva jayate'. I knew that was the song... and then later we filled in the lyrics. We had the choir to make it more epic in a way," added the
45-year-old.
In the run-up to the album's proper release, the band has come out with two singles - the first being "Satyameva jayate", which was released as a tribute to the Indian Independence Day and it was followed by another single, "Miracle Worker".
Other songs in the album include title number "SuperHeavy" as well as "Unbelievable", "Energy", "One Day One Night", "Never Gonna Change" and "Beautiful People".
Rahman, who transcended borders with his music and made Indian song and dance triumph at one of the most prestigious movie awards - Oscars - by winning two golden statuettes for his work in Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire", describes the album as a potpourri of mixed culture.
"SuperHeavy is a musical team and each of us has a distinct style. If you look at the five of us, we all have been driving our own thing and we have our own fan following. So we bring very different influences to the table.
"For example, 'Miracle Worker' has a reggae sound and it is a peppy romantic number about the quest for a miracle. 'Beautiful People' is about the powerful corporates that sort of rule the world and the invasion of personal space and privacy by them. So it is a mix," he said.
When asked whether the band has any plans of visiting India for a concert, Rahman said: "If the album is a super duper hit and people are going to all shout at us saying, 'Come on we need you', and give a lot of love, definitely it will happen. I'm looking forward to that too."
There is no dearth of work for this music genius who is straddling both the worlds - if he is working on Alex Kurtzman's "Welcome To People" and Dreamworks' tentatively titled animated movie "Monkeys of Mumbai", he has also composed music for Indian filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's forthcoming musical "Rockstar" and southern superstar Rajinikanth-starrer "Rana".(IANS)

Director Ravicharan Meripo has brought out a love story with a very good message in the form of Akasame Haddu. It is coming out with a tagline ‘Life is greater than Love’. The film explains that love is just a part of a life and it is not the life as a whole. Read on for the review.
Narayana (Rajeev Salur) is a topper in a college. His principal (Rao Ramesh) sponsors him and he gets selected in a campus interview. Once he comes across Priya (Panchi Bora) and loses his heart in first sight. He tries to attract her in different ways but could not succeed in his mission. He neglects his studies and ignores to concentrate on his main project work. At one stage, Priya tells him that he hates him and asks him to die his own death.
At this juncture, Karthik (Navdeep) meets Narayana and start suggesting him that he should prove himself that he truly loves her by concentrating on his studies. Later, Narayana joins a company to do his project work on the advice of Karthik, where Priya also works. Priya befriends with him and moves positively as a good friend. Before going for the final examination, Priya gives him a cover and tells him to open on his birthday as she doesn’t want to meet him and disturb his studies during exam time. What's in the letter? what happens to Karthik? Will Priya accept his love? Answers for these questions form the interesting part of the climax...

It was carefully choreographed, but the exes still ended up bump into each other.
Shriver arrived before Arnie, flanked by two female friends. She bought a few items and snapped photos with Katherine before leaving the store and waiting for her car.
“Arnold showed up with two male friends while she was waiting for her car to pull up from the valet,” the New York Post quoted a source as saying.

Mumbai, Sep 11 : Whether it's Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon or Madhuri Dixit, many of Bollywood's top actresses have made their presence felt on the small screen and the medium gives them a career choice after films, says Juhi Chawla, who is returning to the tube.

"The fact that TV gives me life beyond films is what I find very interesting. It keeps you in circulation. In earlier days, for an actress, it was the silver screen and after that nothing because there were no avenues. Today at least we are in a world where there are avenues, where you can enjoy yourself, still being an actor, still being a celebrity but lending yourself in other ways," Juhi told IANS in an interview.
Heroines in Bollywood do not enjoy too long a career span as opposed to male actors. But Juhi feels TV has given them an option.
The 43-year-old is herself quite active on television. She was earlier seen as a judge on dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhla Jaa", and will now host "Badmaash Company", a children's chat show that will go on air on Colors Sep17.

According to Juhi, celebrities' perception about TV has transformed too.
"About 10 years ago, we thought that television is not a thing to do, but now there is such a burst in the media, TV is in almost every home, the viewership is massive, so it's great!
"Also, now so many other film personalities have taken a plunge in television. From Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) to Hrithik Roshan... everyone is there. It's very acceptable now and you can use it to your interest," she said.
"I don't have to do television if I don't like anything. I would only do it if I like something, but the fact is that I have a medium now that I can utilise," added Juhi, who is stepping into the shoes of an anchor for the first time with "Badmassh Company".
The mother of two children - Jhanvi, 10, and Arjun, eight - explained that although the show was challenging, she thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it.
"It's a very refreshing concept and it's such a sunshine kind of show you could watch it in the worst of your moods and it will make you happy. In this show, the kids are not told what to say and what not to say; so sometimes what they say is so amusing. So I really enjoyed it.
"But at the same time, it was challenging because some kids are shy, so you need to get out the fun moments out of them, that's difficult because I needed to keep the conversations going," said the actress, best remembered for films like "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak", "Bol Radha Bol", "Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke", "Daraar" and "Yes Boss".
Juhi says patience was a much-needed virtue for the show.
"I had to be very patient. There were moments when I used to get really exhausted after continuous talking and anchoring and I needed my own space for some time, but even at that time, the kids used to come and play with me and ask me questions and click pictures; so there were those moments that I used to get very tired and irritated," she recounted.
But Juhi says her experience with her own kids helped her deal with it.
"I could do this show because of my kids. Because of them, I can deal with other kids. A couple of years ago, I wouldn't have done a show like this because I wouldn't have been able to handle kids, but now I know I can do it and enjoy it."(IANS)

Remember chartbusters like "Zara zara" and "Dil ko tumse pyar hua" from "Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein"? The man behind those melodies, Harris Jayaraj, has returned to Bollywood after a decade to create music for John Abraham's upcoming film "Force". Unfortunately, he has failed to recreate the "Rehna..." magic.

The album offers five tracks.
It begins with "Khwabon khwabon", which is already being promoted on radio and TV channels. Sung by KK and Suchitra, the track has an Arabian feel and is moderately paced. With a strong musical backing, it is a track with a romantic lyrical underlay, but it isn't too mushy. Although the track doesn't sound bad, it could have been better sans the Arabian touch.

Up next is "Chahoon bhi", supported by Karthik and Bombay Jayshree's vocals. The singers have adopted a very subtle and restrained style of singing for the number and that works in its favour. It is a simple, breezy composition that grows on the listener. Essentially a honey-dipped love song, it is quite easy on the ears.

Lalit Pandit has been roped in as a guest composer for the next song "Dum hai toh aaja". It starts with a bang and is quite edgy. Characterised by power-packed vocals by Mahua Kamat, this rock-inclined song has a strong orchestration and some impressive guitar riffs. After a strong beginning, the song somehow loses grip and punch on the way to the end.
The next song "Main Chali", crooned by Naresh Iyer and Shreya Ghoshal, describes a girl, possibly the female lead in the film. The number is high on beats and there is a change in tempo at a couple of places. But all in all, as a mix of peppy and romantic, it is an average composition.
Finally the album brings forth "Dil ki hai tamanna" with Vijay Prakash, Shalini Singh and Neha Bhasin behind the mike. Starting with the sound of whistle, the song has a romantic overtone and is a simple composition. Although there is nothing extraordinary about the song, it's not bad for a hear.
On the whole, the album is not even close to the score that Harris composed for "Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein". Nevertheless, the music of "Force" is a decent attempt and might get more notice with visuals.

Movie Plot Summary:
The movie is about a 25 year old girl named Aranya (Ayesha Takia), who lives in a hill station called Ganga. Synopsis:
Based in a small town in the Northern part of India, Sahib Biwi aur Gangster is a story packed with intrigue betrayal and ambition between a beautiful Begum, her Nawab husband and an ambitious young boy.
The Nawab and his Begum, live in their ancestral royal house trying to maintain the status and structure their ancestors had left behind. But due to the changing time, some extreme financial conditions and the long gone habit of a royal having a mistress, the Nawab tries real hard to maintain his status and financial conditions.
His rival political party, belonging to Gainda Singh is on a constant mission to eliminate the Nawab and his allies, to get a hold of the administration, which has been with this royal family for decades. Eventually leaving him with just one Kanahiya who is Saheb’s most trusted and dangerous servant.
Due to the Nawab’s interest in his beautiful mistress, Begum suffers seriously from the lack of his attention and tries to put every bit of her effort into getting him to come back to her or even spend a moment of his time with her. The Nawab starts taking contract killing assignments to be able to cope up with his lifestyle and to be able to get a stronger hold over his political situation while campaigning for the elections, which becomes a difficult battle considering the loss of his allies and deteriorating financial situation.

Movie Plot Summary:
The drama in the plot walks in when the same rival gang plant Babblo, to get information and plot the Nawab’s killing, as the temporary driver for Begum as her age-old driver meets with an accident, which was also conspired by the same group. Begum suffering from the lack of her husbands attention and slightly hysterical due to the same gets into a sort of sexual relationship with this young driver who seems to be giving more of his time to her. In this process, Babblo falls deeply in love with the Begum and lands up confessing of his connections and intentions in front of the Nawab. This is exactly the point where the entire drama between the Sahib, his Biwi and Babloo the gangster begins. The story is filled with twists and turns as Biwi uses Babblo to get the mistress killed to gain back the lost attention from her husband. Babloo manages to fulfill her demand but in turn gets ambitious and wants the begum for himself and the power which Saheb now holds after he eliminates Gainda singh. Biwi is worried since she knows that Babloo wants to eliminate Saheb, how this brutal triangle gets deciphered forms the climax of this story.
