Of the 45 games played, Robins have recorded 22 wins, and Watford have come away with 9 victories. The most recent encounter between these two sides at Ashton Gate was less than a year ago, in March 2012, as the visitors ran out cosy 0-2 winners in a Championship match. Bristol City have managed to pick up just two wins from their last six home games, losing three, While Robins have scored 8, a worringly large 14 have been leaked at the other end. The away form of Watford however, is much more impressive, tasting just one defeat in their last six, and picking up four good wins. The games have constituted a decent return of 13 goals for the Hornets, and 8 goals against. Bristol City find themselves stuck right at the bottom of the division. Their 28 games have yielded only 25 points.Watford are just outside the promotion places, in 4th, having taken 49 points from 28 games.

Team News:

Bristol City's Neil Kilkenny has been ruled out of Tuesday's game with an ankle injury picked up during Saturday's win over Ipswich.
Ryan Taylor is definitely out after fracturing his collarbone in the same game, and faces at least six weeks out.
Watford boss Gianfranco Zola has no new injury concerns and could name the same starting line-up that beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 last time out.
Ikechi Anya (hamstring) and Neuton (back) are set to miss out.

Head-to-head

A late goal from Bristol City midfielder Steve Davies denied Watford all three points in the reverse fixture in September, as the pair shared four goals.
Watford have lost only one of their last seven Championship matches against Bristol City, and have won the last two visits to Ashton Gate 2-0.
The Robins last recorded a home league victory over Watford in March 1993, drawing seven and losing three of the 10 subsequent meetings.

Bristol City
Bristol City are looking for only their second back-to-back wins of the season, after Saturday's last-ditch 2-1 victory over Ipswich, and could climb off the foot to third bottom depending on the Barnsley result.
The Robins are on their lowest points total (25 from 28) in 14 seasons, and are averaging just a point a game at home (14 from 14).
They also have the weakest defence of any league club in the country, with 56 goals shipped at two a game on average, and they are still searching for their first clean sheet since a 2-0 home victory at Barnsley on 21 April last year.

Watford
A fourth successive league victory, and a fourth on the bounce on the road, would lift Watford into second place.
They are on their best winning streak since March last year, and their best equivalent points return for 12 seasons.
Gianfranco Zola's men have the best away record in the division, and are the top scorers in the Championship. They have netted as many as Bristol City have conceded (56), which averages out at two a game.
They have already scored as many goals as they managed in the whole of last season's Championship campaign.

Scotland signed a permanent deal until the end of the season in time to be included following his release last week from Ipswich. Tykes manager David Flitcroft could throw the 33-year-old straight into his starting line-up if Chris Dagnall fails to shake off injury. Dagnall scored the winner in the weekend FA Cup win at Hull, but was stamped on in the process and is doubtful after being forced off soon after with a bruised foot.Defenders Bobby Hassell and Scott Wiseman both sustained knocks at the KC Stadium and could face late fitness tests.Flitcroft has no other new injury or suspension problems, but will still be without midfielder Stephen Dawson (ankle) and defender Jim McNulty (hamstring).Barnsley, unbeaten in their last four matches, can climb out of the bottom three if they can secure their third straight home win. Shane Lowry returns to the Millwall squad. The defender has missed the last two games, including Friday's 2-1 FA Cup win over his former club Aston Villa, through suspension after picking up 10 bookings this season. Scott Malone is also poised to return having missed the last five matches with a back injury and fellow wideman Martyn Woolford is available after being cup-tied. However, striker Nathan Tyson misses out again with an ankle injury and skipper Paul Robinson remains sidelined due to a groin problem. Defender Adam Smith plays the final game of his current loan spell from Tottenham, although Lions boss Kenny Jackett hopes to extend the deal until the end of the season.

Team News:
New Barnsley signing Jason Scotland goes straight into the squad after joining from Ipswich last week.
Defenders Bobby Hassell and Scott Wiseman face late fitness tests, while Stephen Dawson (ankle) and Jim McNulty (hamstring) both miss out.
Millwall are set to welcome back defender Shane Lowry after suspension.
Scott Malone could return after missing the last five games with a back injury but striker Nathan Tyson is still out with an ankle injury.

Head-to-head
These clubs have faced each other 50 times competitively; Barnsley have won 18, Millwall 19.
A last minute goal from Marcus Tudgay stole all three points for the struggling Tykes against a 10-man Millwall in last month's reverse fixture. The 2-1 victory gives Barnsley the chance of a first double over Millwall in 17 years.
The Lions gained their first victory in five visits to the Oakwell Ground, with a 3-1 triumph in last season's corresponding fixture.

Barnsley
Barnsley have won the fewest matches in the Championship (just six), but go into this game looking for a fourth victory in five league and FA Cup outings, which would see them leapfrog Peterborough into third bottom.
The Tykes are also the joint lowest scorers in the division, with 29 netted in 28 games; Ipswich have also scored 29, but from 29 matches.
The South Yorkshire club are also the most vulnerable in the Championship in the opening 10 minutes, when eight goals have been conceded. But the most recent of those was on 8 December (v Leicester).

Millwall
Ninth-placed Millwall travel in search of a first away league victory in five, having drawn two and lost two since a 1-0 win at Wolves on 27 November.
Kenny Jackett will be keen to see his side avoid their 600th defeat in second level league football.
Both these clubs are going strong in the FA Cup, and both are away to giant-killers in the fifth round; Millwall go to Luton, Barnsley to Milton Keynes Dons.

Three of the last four league visitors to the Stadium of Light have failed to score, while Swansea have failed to score in three of their last four away trips, and star striker Michu hasn't scored in the league since before Christmas. But the Swans do sit above their opponents in the table, are unbeaten in six league games, and will be hoping to draw on the feelgood factor engendered by their famous League Cup semi-final win over Chelsea. The trip will be a return to his native north-east for Swansea's Danny Graham - it could become a permanent one if Sunderland's reported move to sign the player succeeds. For now, though, the 27-year-old will be focused on helping Swansea end January with a win before they enter one of the most important months in the club's 101-year history.

Team News:
Sunderland will be without injured trio Danny Rose, Carlos Cuellar and Lee Cattermole for Tuesday night's clash with Swansea.
Rose and Cuellar have hamstring problems, and Cattermole aggravated a knee injury during training.
Swansea manager Michael Laudrup must decide whether to include Sunderland transfer target Danny Graham.
Loan signing Roland Lamah awaits his full debut, while Wayne Routledge could play his 150th Premier League game.

Head-to-head
Swansea have yet to beat Sunderland in the Premier League (D2, L1).
Swansea's last win over the Black Cats came away in November 1982. That 1-0 victory remains their only victory in 12 league and cup visits to Wearside.

Sunderland
Sunderland have won four of their last six league games.
The Black Cats are looking to record three consecutive league wins for the first time this season.
Martin O'Neill's side have failed to win a league match this season in which they trailed at half-time (D1, L6).

Swansea
Swansea are unbeaten in their last six league matches (W2, D4). They last went seven top-flight matches without defeat between January and March 1982, winning six and drawing one.
The Swans have conceded just nine goals away from home this season - they are the only Premier League club not to have conceded double figures.
They are yet to lose a league match after opening the scoring, winning on eight of those nine occasions.

Wigan occasionally get lauded for flashes of cohesive flair; Stoke are often berated for their bruising ways. But 10 points and nine Premier League places separate the two clubs. Yes, it is a funny old game.Neither are in good form at the moment but while Wigan are in danger of drowning as they flounder in 19th place, battle-hardened Stoke are able to tread water in the relative comfort of 10th.Would Roberto Martinez trade some pretty passing for the consistent steel of Stoke? Quite probably. The Spaniard, however, might just pray for more luck on the injury front, given that a significant chunk of his squad are on the treatment table. One source of optimism could be Angelo Henriquez, the young Manchester United striker who has bolstered the Latics ranks on loan and scored a fine header in the home defeat by Sunderland. They will also take heart from reaching the fifth round of the FA Cup for only the second time in their history. Though Stoke got narrowly knocked out of the competition by Manchester City at the weekend, they're never down for too long.

Team News:
Stoke midfielder Glenn Whelan is free to play as no retrospective action will be taken against him by the Football Association for a controversial tackle against Manchester City on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is set to return after making way for Thomas Sorensen in that FA Cup defeat.
Wigan are likely to have a more familiar line-up after making eight changes against Macclesfield.
But defender Antolin Alcaraz is not yet fit and Fraser Fyvie is a doubt.

Head-to-head
These two clubs first met on 10 November 1990, when Stoke beat Wigan 2-0 at home in the old Division Three at the Victoria Ground.
Stoke have only won once in nine Premier League matches between these clubs - a 2-0 home victory in May 2009. However, Wigan have won just two of those matches, with six drawn.

Stoke
They have lost their last three Premier League matches, and only won one of their last eight.
The Potters have conceded 13 goals in their past four league games.
Against Swansea last weekend, Michael Owen scored his 150th Premier League goal (and his first since May 2011).

Wigan
They have won just one of their last 10 Premier League matches.
The Latics have conceded seven penalties in the Premier League this season, the most of any top-flight team.
Wigan have conceded a goal in 20 of their 23 Premier League games this season, letting in two or more goals in 16 of these matches.
James McCarthy could make his 100th league start for the club.

"People who saw the Liverpool game [a 3-0 defeat on 31 December] will have thought 'That's the end of QPR' but we came back against Chelsea and Tottenham and then went to West Ham and drew."Redknapp believes the disappointing performance of Rangers' fringe players on Saturday shows why the club must strengthen in the January transfer window. "I gave them a chance because they knock on my door and say they should be playing... well, they got their chance and they blew it." "Surely they are entitled to beat a team from two divisions down? It tells me, like I've said all along, that I need to improve the squad." Manchester City travel to Loftus Road knowing victory would see them close to within two points of leaders Manchester United, for 24 hours at least. David Silva was their match-winner in their last league game, scoring his first Premier League brace in a 2-0 victory against Fulham,The Spaniard was overdue a goal, having scored just once in 29 games for club and country since the Euro 2012 final.
His next target will be to end an away goal drought that stretches back 14 months. Loftus Road should be the ideal venue - his last City goal away from the Etihad Stadium came in a 3-2 win at QPR on 5 November 2011.

Team News:
QPR winger Shaun Wright-Phillips is doubtful because of an ankle injury, while Junior Hoilett is still struggling with a hamstring problem.
Manager Harry Redknapp says he will recall the first-team regulars he rested for the defeat by MK Dons.
Manchester City duo Samir Nasri and Mario Balotelli return after illness, but Vincent Kompany is ruled out with a calf injury.
Fellow defender Matija Nastasic has a minor knee problem and is doubtful.

Head-to-head

Manchester City have won their last four games against Queens Park Rangers in league and cup, scoring three goals in each of those matches.
Rangers' last Premier League win against City was a 1-0 victory at Loftus Road on 26 August 1995, when Simon Barker got the only goal.

Queens Park Rangers
Adel Taarabt has either scored or assisted four of QPR's last five league goals.
Against West Ham, Loic Remy scored with his first shot in English football. He became the first player to open their Premier League account whilst playing for QPR since Danny Dichio in 1994.
They have failed to win any of the 16 league games in which they fell behind this season (D4, L12).
Defeat would be QPR's 100th loss in the Premier League.

Manchester City
City have won their last four league games, and six of their previous seven.
David Silva's second goal against Fulham ended a sequence of 23 passes - the second longest build-up for a Premier League goal this season.
City are yet to lose a league game after opening the scoring this season (W12, D1).
Joe Hart is set to make his 150th Premier League appearance for Manchester City.

You have to fight like anything to get up” Aston Villa manager Paul LambertBoth clubs come into the game off the back of shock 2-1 defeats, although Newcastle have reacted to Reading's unexpected late comeback at St James' Park by signing a host of promising new French players. They have also had 10 days to regroup and recharge their batteries. For busy Villa, it's been quite the opposite; they've suffered the trauma of being knocked out of both domestic cup competitions by lower league opposition, and deflated supporters are now starting to openly question the wisdom or otherwise of manager Paul Lambert and the club's policy of using such a young and inexperienced group of players. There have been no January reinforcements. Backs are to the wall. The visitors might not be too unhappy to come away from Villa Park with a point, but the embattled hosts have never been more desperate for three.

Team News:
Aston Villa are likely to bring back Christian Benteke and Gabriel Agbonlahor after the pair were rested for Friday's FA Cup defeat by Millwall.
Fabian Delph is out with an ankle injury, but Richard Dunne and Nathan Baker are under consideration to play.
There could be Newcastle debuts for the French contingent of Moussa Sissoko, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Yoan Gouffran and Massadio Haidara.
Steven Taylor has overcome a hamstring injury he suffered in November.

Head-to-head
Newcastle have not won at Villa Park in their last five attempts since a 2-1 Premier League victory in February 2006. Charles N'Zogbia, now at Villa, scored for the visitors in that game.
The past 10 Premier League matches between the two clubs have seen Newcastle win four and Villa win three.
Newcastle have defeated Aston Villa 18 times in the Premier League, more than they have beaten any other team.

Aston Villa
They have 20 points from 23 matches this season - their least at this stage of a top-flight season since 1955-56, when they had the equivalent of the same tally. They finished one place above relegation that season.
Villa are winless in their last six league matches.
Paul Lambert's side have only scored one goal in their last six Premier League games at Villa Park.
If Premier League games ended at half-time, Villa would be sixth in the table (32 of the 44 goals they have conceded have been in the second half).
Charles N'Zogbia made 118 Premier League appearances for Newcastle between 2004 and 2009, scoring nine goals.

Newcastle
Newcastle are still seeking their first away win this season, having failed in 17 attempts in all competitions.
They have suffered 12 league defeats home and away, one more than in the whole of last season.
The Magpies have conceded a league-high 11 headers this season.
They could set a Premier League record for the most French players used by a club in a season. The current record is seven; Newcastle have so far used five French players but signed another four since their last match.
