VIEWS FROM THE TRAINING GROUND

Crawley manager Richie Barker told BBC Sussex:

"Martin Allen has been around the game for long enough now and they were extremely successful last year.

"It will be tough. I watched them against Orient on Tuesday and despite the result they pushed them right until the end.

"The first thing I said to the players after the win at Peterborough was 'Don't let this result go to waste'.

"It is important we build on that. We are doing well to compete in this league."

Gillingham manager Martin Allen told BBC Radio Kent:

"They just won 2-0 at at Peterborough and have signed a new forward for 100 grand and made him sub.

"We watched them on TV against Wolves and they outplayed them. We are the underdogs again.

"Crawley have done really well. They are a good club with a good set-up and well managed. Richie Barker is a good bloke.

"What a journey they have been on and it has taken them a couple of years to get themselves established at this level. They will have their eyes on challenging for the play-offs."
