Inverness manager Terry Butcher: "What I like about this squad now is that on the bench in particular we have got players who can come on and make a difference, whereas before we didn't quite have that, with due respect to the lads what were here before.
"Now we have got athleticism and pace and players who are hungry to do well and impress.
"We may have to change the team round and I'm looking for players to come on and make a difference."
"We have a good little system plus one or two others who can come in.
"From what we have done in pre-season, if we carry forward that spirit, passing and understanding, I think we will do well."
St Mirren manager Danny Lennon: "We know what system Terry Butcher will go with.
"If you look at any manager who has been in the game for four or five years now, you know what their style is. You don't always have to look at their team.
"We have had them watched during pre-season and their new players have settled in well. We know what Inverness' strengths and weaknesses are and we'll try to exploit them."
