I'm interested to see what changes Hughes has implemented already at Stoke following the summer departure of Tony Pulis. I noticed a clear change of style from Everton under Roberto Martinez even on the opening day at Norwich.
This game also brings together two former managers of Blackburn Rovers, who were in charge during happier times at Ewood Park.
Mark Hughes took them into Europe, while Sam Allardyce started his reign there with a 3-0 win over Stoke City in December 2008 and was surprisingly sacked two years later with the club 13th in the table. What they'd give to be in that position now.

Green led a consortium to buy Rangers last summer but quit as chief executive in April following allegations about his dealings with former owner Craig Whyte.
The Yorkshireman was re-employed as a consultant in early August after an investigation found no evidence of Whyte's claims he was involved in the Green-led acquisition.
However, he agreed to step down again just a few weeks later following repeated calls from fans' groups for him to go.

"Sandy said he would buy them and he has. I knew he would and he will do what's best for Rangers now he has a more substantial percentage.
"I want to make it clear that this means I will have no ongoing influence or financial interest at the club but I remain a fan and fervently hope that Rangers will soon be back at the top where they belong." After the first match in Holland, it was clear that coach Massimiliano Allegri's men had a lot of work to do to get by a young Dutch side which seemed fearless throughout the course of the match.
The most worrying facet in Allegri's starting XI is their inability to handle set pieces, as they conceded the most goals from the air in Serie A last season. You can bet that lanky PSV striker Tim Matavz has perked his ears plenty at these statistics.
I'm not going to beat around the bush here, I think PSV have a terrific chance of turning Ac Milan over if they do not let the occasion get to them. Milan are a good side, but definitely beatable and the pace of PSV can cause Ac Milan some real problems on the counter attack. I was hoping the pilot of RD would be as good as the pilots of other Showtime shows, Homeland/Dexter, but unfortunately it was not. The pilot was confusing, and it was hard to keep interested at times. I only say that because there were so many characters being thrown at you very quickly. I am not saying that this show has too many characters (even though a lot of people on this site seem to think so), I am just saying they should ease into the supporting characters and their story lines. With that being said, I think they have some great characters on the show, with a ton of potential. It helps when you have amazing actors, i.e. Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight.
I am really excited to see what will transpire in the first season of Ray Donovan. With great actors and great writing, I think this could be the next great Showtime show, maybe not the quality of Homeland or Dexter (seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7), but we won't know for sure until at least the end of this season. My hope is that it can become the next Mad Men or Breaking Bad like some critics have been saying.
One last thing: I think people should not hate on this show (or any show) just by only watching the pilot. Unless you really hate it or it is something that doesn't interest you at all, you should give it at least 3-4 episodes before making a decision.The show starts of with Mickey Donovan being released from prison on probation. Later on Ray is with his family, he has a daughter and a son. Ray takes care of the man. He then goes to his other client who wants him to stalk his girlfriend. While he watches her, there is a man outside her house watching her. Ray gets his license plate number, and goes to her door, and tells her what has happened. It turns out that that they know each other. She has a drink, and then they begin to kiss. It turns out that she has Epilepsy, and she has a small time seizure. Later on Ray is in the stalkers room, and threatens him not to go near her again, and if he did he would die. Ray goes to his brother and his brother tells him that his father is coming, and he has a half brother. After that they go to his clients party, where his client feels betrayed and tells his wife that he ****** the girl. His wife gets mad. He then brakes the old clients finger. Later on Ray talks to his wife, and warns her to stay away from his dad, because he is coming. Back at the girls house, she is doing yoga in her living room, and the stalker is on her patio watching her. Later on Ray and his father meet, and they talk. Ray gets mad, and leaves. As the episode comes to a close, Ray is beating the stalker to death. Meanwhile back at Ray's house, Mickey is at the front door, Ray's wife lets him in, and the episode ends with Mickey hugging the daughter.

Jane's wife and child were murdered by Red John and Patrick feels responsible because he taunted Red John on television. With Carrie, the murder of her big sister, Rachel, when they were children, was a traumatic event that is compounded by the fact that Carrie she can't remember specific details of Rachel's murder and it remains unsolved. It haunts Carrie as an adult because it's the ONLY thing in her entire life that she CAN'T remember! Carrie's childhood experiences with cops and shrinks investigating Rachel's murder, make her a better cop as she is more aware of the trauma being experienced by both victims and witnesses alike.
Good writing, good acting and good time slot are all high praise to CBS! I just hope they will give Unforgettable a fair chance to develop a strong following. Having Poppy Montgomery with her Criminal Minds fan base and Michael Gaston with his Mentalist fan base are an added bonus for the show. Having the show follow solid shows like NCIS and NCIS: LA make Unforgettable's ratings almost a guarantee.I am a fan of The Listener so another show with similarities is fine by me, I am not sure what the other reviewers were watching but it could not have been the same show as I watched. By day she is a volunteer at a aged care facility and by night she plays blackjack to support herself.
During the show with repeated flashbacks we start to discover that her sister was murdered and that she is still trying to find out who murdered her.
I thought the pilot was quite good and not being from the USA I did not care that the accents were not genuine as some of the other reviewers have complained about.
I recommend it to anyone wanting to watch another police show with a few special abilities thrown in.
I gave it an 8 and will continue to watch it until it is canceled like so many other good shows these days.

I've never watched the Catfish documentary which started the TV series, but now I'm tempted to. There's something so appealing about the whole anonymous relationship thing, since it's something that's become the norm in our culture and a whole new way of dating and courtship.
I like the way the show is set up. We learn not only about the main person looking for their online friend, but we get to learn about the person behind the profile, despite them remaining anonymous to us throughout the first 30 minutes of the show. The camera work is straight forward and inviting, we even see Nev's friend Max constantly recording everything!
The only issue I have with this show is, once you have seen the outcomes of a few episodes, you will know what to expect from the rest, which kind of takes away the shock value that makes this show seem so appealing.Catfishing is one of those concepts that one can only truly understand if one has experienced it. And personally, I think that only people that have been catfished can truly understand this show and the people in it.
People here say that it seems fake, because there is no way that the people being catfished would be so stupid. But no, let me tell you that that point is completely realistic. No one seems to understand that when you feel so captivated by someone, you accept everything that they tell you and even become delusional. You start to believe all their excuses and even feel guilty about questioning their identity.
I am glad that they always try to get the other side of the story as well. We like to satanize catfishes and believe that they are just pure evil. But it really isn't always like that. No one understand how sad it is to be rejected by your appearance, how hard it is to have so much to say but no one to listen. People also seem to think that they go out of their way just to make their "evil catfishing plan" to work. But really, making a fake profile only takes minutes. Covering the holes with excuses is really easy as well, specially (as I said before) when the other person is so captivated that they begin to lose common sense. Most catfishes don't even have mean intentions, they just want someone to talk, but eventually things get out of hand. No one seems to remember how hard it is to come clean after lying for so long.
Some things (scenes) might be a little fabricated, but everything on TV is, and not only realities, also documentaries and news. And you know what? Even if the stories are indeed fake, I don't really care, because I know they can be real and I know much worse stories than the ones depicted here.
