September also reveals to Peter that he and the Observers are an evolution of humans in the far future, having returned to the past to watch their creation, but needed to erase Peter's son Henry to assure their future will be created. Meanwhile, David Robert Jones, alive in this timeline, works with the parallel universe's version of Nina Sharp to synchronize the two universes together, hoping to collapse both for some nefarious purpose. Peter's awareness of Jones' past actions allow him to become accepted by both Fringe teams................
Season Summary:
A television drama centered around a female FBI agent, Olivia Dunham, who is forced to work with a brilliant (but possibly insane) scientist who was being held in a mental institution, in order to rationalize a brewing storm of unexplained phenomena. Fringe explores mysteries of the paranormal as well as the relationships between the characters, and is steeped in mythology.
