Season Summary:
From the creator of the hit series "Bones" comes "The Finder", a quirky, one-hour procedural centering on a remarkable man with an eccentric personality and a unique gift to help others recover what they've lost. Iraq war veteran Walter Sherman (Geoff Stults) gained a reputation in his army days as being the go-to guy for tracking down insurgents and deserters and finding improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Unfortunately one IED found Walter before he could find it, resulting in severe brain damage with a lasting and unexpected effect. Walter transformed from someone skilled at the standard recovery of people and things in wartime scenarios to someone - something - much more extraordinary: a Finder. Walter left the military, but his reputation as a discreet professional able to unearth anything and anyone passed on to generals, politicians and other powerful figures.
Storyline:
The show follows the adventures of Walter Sherman an Iraq War vet who suffered brain damage in an IED explosion. The brain damage triggered in Walter the ability to find" things, he sees connections between seemingly unrelated events, objects or people that other investigators would miss. Walter is assisted by his "legal advisor" and bar owner Leo Knox, US Deputy Marshal Isabel Zambada, and teen parolee and thief Willa Monday, who is serving her probation with the team. The brain damage that gives Walter his "finder" talent has also left him with a case of paranoia and other mental idiosyncrasies. Walter refuses treatment because he does not want to lose his talent. The last time Walter failed to find someone, it was the IED explosive expert that was responsible for blowing up Walter's Humvee and killing 5 members of his unit
Episode Summary:
When new tracks are leaked from late rapper J-Stryke, music mogul Big Glade and his business savvy lawyer, Leo's former love interest, ask Walter to find the source of the illegally released music. Walter and Leo locate the DJ streaming the tracks with the help of Willa's online hacking expertise. But as Walter pieces together the events that led to J-Stryke's death, he uncovers a more complicated history. Meanwhile, Big Glade's lawyer and Leo rekindle their romance.
