The season may contain a sequel episode to the Twin Peaks-inspired fifth season episode "Dual Spires" (5.12), along with confirmed vampire, baseball, Indiana Jones, and Clue-themed episodes. A musical episode, previously expected to air during the sixth season, has been confirmed to be on hold until the seventh season premiere. Production for the season began in late March, 2011. The series airs new episodes in the US on Wednesdays at 10PM ET/PT on USA Network. During the second season, an animated segment was added to the series titled "The Big Adventures of Little Shawn and Gus". Psych debuted on Friday, July 7, 2006, immediately following the fifth season premiere of Monk, and continued to be paired with the series until Monk's conclusion on December 4, 2009. Storyline:
During his childhood, Shawn Spencer developed a remarkable talent for noticing the tiniest of details under the guidance of his policeman father. However, upon growing up he found it difficult to get a job, and spends most of his time using his skill to give the police anonymous tips. However, the tips are so good that some cops become suspicious that he is involved with the crimes himself. To clear his name Shawn finally settles on a career: he pretends to be a psychic. No one really believes him, but he continues to be so helpful to the police that they keep calling him in on cases they can't solve. Shawn soon brings his childhood friend Gus into his scheme, and between their bantering they manage to solve every case they're presented with.
Episode Summary:
It's another undercover assignment for Shawn and Gus when SBPD asks them to infiltrate the local mental hospital. They must prove that the billionaire recently found "not guilty by reason of insanity" after he murdered his assistant is just as sane as they are. Well, as sane as Gus at least.
