MATCH PREVIEW

The league leaders go into this match in fantastic form, having won five of their last six league games, including what was a very impressive 3-0 victory away to Cardiff at the weekend.

To win so convincingly in the Welsh capital is worthy of note, because although Cardiff aren't going to finish in the upper reaches of the table, it's not an easy place to get a decent result.

Just ask Manchester City who lost 3-2 there, or the champions Manchester United, who were deservedly held to a 2-2 draw at the Cardiff City Stadium only 10 days ago.

Saturday's game brought another clean sheet for Arsenal - who have a much better looking defence this season.

Their home form didn't take long to sort itself out either following the opening day defeat by Aston Villa.

They've won all five since and will fancy making it six in a row here. But Hull have had success at the Emirates in the past and travel to London on the back of what has to be one of the surprise results of the season against Liverpool.

Remember September 2008 and Hull's early Premier League days under Phil Brown? That was when they came from a goal down to secure a famous victory at Arsenal thanks to a superb 25-yarder from the Brazilian Geovanni, which I distinctly remember commentating on at the time, and a header from Daniel Cousin.

They became the first team to come from behind and beat Arsenal at the Emirates, but that result is the exception rather than the rule of their recent clashes with the Gunners.

The players will be fired up for this one though after Sunday's 3-1 success over Liverpool. I doubt many would have expected such an outcome, particularly once Steven Gerrard had equalised just before the half-hour mark.

Steve Bruce will be delighted with Hull's campaign so far, halfway up the league and with daylight between themselves and the bottom three.
