For the Brazilian, whose goal remains to be (and likely retire) a UFC champion. History will show he once wore UFC gold, but he lost the title in a rematch vs. Randy Couture. Since then, he has had two other opportunities inside the octagon, but has fallen short. Now, he is considered next in line at 185 lbs, yet finds himself in a must win situation at 205 lbs.The prelims get underway at 5:30 p.m. ET and you can watch them streaming live right here at Bloody Elbow.

Here's a look at the bouts scheduled for the stream:

Earlier this week, during a conference call with the media, UFC president Dana White made it clear. Despite this bout vs. Henderson being contested in the light heavyweight division, “The Phenom” must win, in order to keep his spot, as the number one contender at middleweight.

As for Hendo, the pressure is on.

He is competing on the very last bout of his current contract. Word is, the organization chose not to extend it, as the future Hall of Famer is currently riding a two fight losing skid. If he loses, that’s three in a row. They will likely shake his hand and part ways with him. If Hendo wins, he takes out a top contender, and the negotiations will reconvene. And don’t be surprised if Bellator attempts to throw their hat into the mix, albeit, I’m sure there is a lengthy non-compete clause that prevent Henderson from going anywhere else, anytime soon.

As mentioned on UFC Central, I’ll give the edge to Vitor early, but if it goes for more than 7-8 minutes, I’ll take Dan the rest of the way.
