The teams met in the group stage in 2001/02 when Juventus won 3-2 in Italy and Celtic triumphed 4-3 at Parkhead. The clubs also clashed in the 1981/82 European Cup - Juve won 2-1 on aggregate after losing the first leg 1-0 in Glasgow.

 Juventus have not lost away from home in Europe since a 4-1 defeat to Fulham in the Europa League in March 2010. They have won three and drawn five of their eight fixtures since.
Juventus are five points clear of Napoli at the top of Serie A, with 17 wins, four draws and three defeats in their 24 games. They beat Fiorentina 2-0 in Turin in their latest outing on Saturday.
Having beaten them back in 2001, Celtic have to draw inspiration from their 4-3 win over Juve. The Hoops can bank on their home form and fans to get the better of Juventus.
Celtic beat the likes of Barcelona and Spartak Moscow to make it through to the last-16. Manager Neil Lennon considers this game to be 'one of the biggest games of their careers'. It is so important for Celtic that fans get right behind their team and opponents are given are hard time.
Juventus are coming into this game with back-to-back victories, currently holding the top position in the Serie A table.
Celtic will wait on the fitness of striker Giorgos Samaras while Emilio Izaguirre is declared fit. The Hoops will have to consider playing Efe Ambrose after just lifting the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria.
For Juventus, Kwadwo is likely to be benched after playing at the Africa Cup of Nations. Centre-back Giorgio Chiellini is suspended while Paolo De Ceglie is out with a thigh injury.
