If they agree to help, their sentences will be reduced by one month for each fugitive they bring in, and they will be transferred to a minimum-security facility. However, if any of them should try to escape, they will all be returned to their original prisons, and their sentences will be doubled.Laz Alonso portrays Charlie Duchamp, a Deputy U.S. Marshal and head of the task force. He came from the Department of Criminal Program Analysis and was assigned to a desk job for six years because of a congenital heart defect. He was under a great deal of pressure to produce results, since any failures in the task force could have led to his being permanently placed on desk work. Charlie was killed in action by fugitive Damian Fontleroy in the season 2 premiere.Brooke Nevin portrays Julianne "Jules" Simms, a former student at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Season Summary:
It takes a con to catch a con" - Driven by the fact that there are few things more dangerous than a prisoner who has just escaped, and tired of following protocol and resorting to outdated methods of law enforcement, veteran U.S. Marshals Charlie Duchamp (Laz Alonso) and Ray Zancanelli (Domenick Lombardozzi) are taking an unorthodox approach to their work: using former fugitives (Jimmi Simpson, Malcolm Goodwin & Serinda Swan) to catch fugitives.
Storyline:
A squad of U.S. marshals team up with cons (former fugitives) to work together on tracking down prison escapees in exchange for getting time off their sentences.
Episode Summary
A female prison volunteer is attacked by a rough female inmate. On the way to the court hearing that is a result of that attack, the inmate takes ill at a very precise time. The transport is forced to turn into a rest stop, where the inmate escapes. When the inmate shows up at the home of the volunteer and stabs her husband it appears tragic, until it's learned the volunteer and inmate had been working together. The Breakout Kings are in hot pursuit of this "Thelma and Louise-like" duo as they make a run for it. Jason Behr, Camille Guaty and Ever Carradine guest star.
