Blue Bloods is an American police procedural television series created by Robin Green and Mitchell Burgess. It premiered on September 24, 2010 on CBS. The series centers on the Reagans, a family of police officers in New York City. Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the police commissioner with three grown children working in law enforcement: the oldest Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), a hard-nosed detective, Erin (Bridget Moynahan), an assistant district attorney who prosecutes many of the offenders Danny apprehends and Jamie (Will Estes), a recent Harvard Law School graduate and a rookie cop in the NYPD. A fourth child, Joseph, was killed in the line of duty while investigating a group of dirty cops nicknamed "The Blue Templar". Selleck said that he was drawn to the project because of the strong pilot script and that he was concerned about becoming involved in an ongoing series because he did not want to compromise his commitment to the Jesse Stone television movies. Beginning January 19, 2011, Blue Bloods was moved to Wednesdays at 10pm for a four week tryout. In February 2011, the series returned to its Friday night timeslot due to the series premiere of Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. In the UK, the show premiered on Tuesday 1 February 2011 at 10:30pm on Sky Atlantic, the same night the network launched.
Episode Summary:
Frank made an arrest in a rape case 18 years ago and Erin decides to reopen the case. Danny and Jackie have to deal with the murder of three teenagers for which there appears to be no motive.
