Season Summary:
The Simpsons focuses on a family of five. There is the father, Homer, a dull-witted, alcoholic, lazy, but lovable man. He often gets his family into crazy situations but always manages to fix things. The mother, Marge, is a stay at home mom who keeps the family together. She is the ideal wife and mother though she can be a little naive at times. It will include the 500th episode which is expected to air February 19, 2012. The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant hires a new security guard named Wayne and Homer soon become friends with him. Wayne has to deal with his past work with the CIA in order to rescue Homer from a Ukranian terrorist. Meanwhile, Marge dreams of appearing on the reality series Top Chef.The voting results from "The Ned-liest Catch" will be revealed.Guest stars: Kiefer Sutherland and Tom Colicchio

Homer befriends Wayne (guest voice Kiefer Sutherland), a reserved security guard recently hired by the nuclear power plant. Plagued by violent flashbacks from his past as a CIA agent, he must overcome his tortured nightmares to save Homer from a Ukranian terrorist. Meanwhile, Marge fantasizes about being a contestant on “Top Chef” hosted by Tom Colicchio (guest voicing as himself), and the future of Springfield’s hottest “it” couple Nedna, Edna Krabappel (guest voice Marcia Wallace) and Ned Flanders, will be revealed after months of online fan voting and speculation
