"Allen Gregory" is a new animated series that tells the story of one of the most pretentious 7-year-olds of our time. When he looks in the mirror, Allen Gregory De Longpre (Jonah Hill) doesn't see a child. He sees a young man who is intelligent, sophisticated, worldly, artistic and romantic - characteristics he inherited from his doting father, Richard (French Stewart). His journey will be a struggle, not only with the other kids at school, but with the faculty as well. Whether it's the all-out rivalry with Gina Winthrop (guest voice Leslie Mann), his by-the-book second grade teacher; his unique relationship with Judith Gottlieb (guest voice Renée Taylor), his 68-year-old principal; or his desperate desire to be best friends with Joel Zadak (guest voice Jake Johnson), the school's popular stud, Allen Gregory has his work cut out for him. With the help of his trusty friend and assistant, Patrick Vanderweel (Cristina Pucelli); and the support of Superintendent Stewart Rossmyre (Will Forte), who believes the De Longpres are a tremendous asset to the school, Allen Gregory won't have to get his hands too dirty. "Allen Gregory" is about an outsider. And while he may put on a tough exterior, deep down, all Allen Gregory wants is to fit in. It is rumored to be canceled as of December 1st, but there has yet to be official word. The fall schedule for Fox has always had Allen Gregory replaced at midseason. Hill co-created the series with Mogel and Paul. All three, along with Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope, serve as executive producers. David A. Goodman, who was with the series Family Guy from its 2005 return to television, until its ninth season, is also an executive producer in addition to being the showrunner. The series is a co-production of 20th Century Fox Television and Chernin Entertainment. Fox placed an order for seven episodes in October 2010. On July 12, 2011, Fox ordered six additional scripts of the series. The series follows Allen Gregory De Longpre (Jonah Hill), a pretentious seven-year-old being raised by his father, Richard, and his father's life partner, Jeremy. Allen Gregory must start attending a public elementary school due to the effect of the recession on his family's finances. The series pilot episode attracted 4.77 million U.S. viewers; The Simpsons episode "Treehouse of Horror XXII," which aired on the same night and network, attracted 8.10 million viewers...
